In this videos, I have explored Jowai City - the 2nd largest city in Meghalaya. Jowai is also the capital of Jaintia Hills, the heart of Meghalaya. Jowai is known for its scenic places that are unique in comparison to those in Khasi and Garo hills in Meghalaya. Jowai also has the 2nd biggest market in Meghalaya after Shillong. You will see countless vendors in Jowai market selling local handicrafts, local food, flowers, dry fish and more. Jaintia hills in Meghalaya is also the home to few of the hidden and famous waterfalls including Phe-Phe Waterfall which is sort of hidden place. The area is yet to be explored as not many people know about this waterfall. Krang Suri Waterfall is a famous one from Jaintia Hills - I would be showing this waterfall in the next vlog :)

The culture, hidden waterfalls, lush green area, local food, smiling people and historical bridges make Jowai - the major part of Jaintia Hills a must-visit tourist attraction in Meghalaya :)
