In this video, I install OMC part 375711 (a clutch dog) that I bought on eBay. This part is what takes the abuse when you shift the motor into gear. I had an issue that caused the outboard to skip and slip out of gear whenever I accelerated. While taking apart the lower unit on this outboard (my beloved 1956 Johnson 15hp Seahorse) I found that the clutch dog was rounded over prompting me to make this video on how to replace it. With this part, my old motor shifted as well as it did in 1956!

Thanks for watching and good luck with your repairs!
