This is the final chapter of this 1973 40 hp Model 402 Mercury. There was a whole lot of things wrong with this old girl but she’s certainly not ready to give it up yet. Now that it’s got:

* New Engine Wiring Harness
* Good Spark in Both Cylinders
* Good Compression 150lbs in each cylinder
* New Water Pump Kit
* New Drive Shaft Seals
* New Shift Shaft, Bushing & Seals
* New Reversing Shift Cam
* Lower Unit Vacuum and Pressure Tested
* Shifts Smoothly into Forward, Neutral and Reverse

Since I received this motor on trade for repair work on another motor it was worth saving. It was very close to becoming a parts motor but I didn’t want to give up on her. Now I have several people interested in buying her. I’m glad I’m not that emotionally attached.
