SPONSOR A SEAL! If you loved the seals in this video, then why not sponsor one through the Scottish wildlife trust? With your help these floofy sea-dogs will have a place to stay whilst they are injured, sick or in rehabilitation.

"f you sponsor a seal pen at our National Wildlife Rescue Centre, you’ll be helping seals in urgent need of medical treatment and care. By sponsoring a pen, you’ll play an important part in their care until they regain the strength to go back in to the wild. Thanks to your support, seals which spend time in the pen you sponsor will enjoy a healthy diet, excellent care and access to veterinary treatment until they can be released.”

Script:

I grew up on the west coast of Scotland, a place I often return to and love to explore.

We’re kayaking to a nearby island, one with a 17th century castle and an abandoned lighthouse. It’s also Gibbo's first visit to the isles, with many of the curious locals coming to say hello!

We waved goodbye to our friends and headed to the wee island.

Stepping into this 16th century castle feels like taking a step backwards through time, one of the many reasons I love coming home.

On the western side of the island lies the “new” lighthouse, built in 1793. The keepers cottages would have been home to many families but it has now lay abandoned for close to 30 years.

As we paddled home, we were approached by more of the locals. There are two species of seal that inhabit this area, the spotty harbour seal and the much bolder and larger grey seal.

Thank you for watching, if you liked this video, please subscribe and sponsor a seal 😙
