Is this for you first night of CPAP? Do you know how to set up the CPAP, use the tube and mask and change settings in clinical settings? This video will talk about using the machine for the first time and setting up the MyAir App and Oscar.

To set up your CPAP machine for the first time, start by unpacking and ensuring all components are present, including the main unit, power cord, tubing, mask, headgear, and humidifier if included.

Place the machine on a flat, stable surface near your bed, ideally below head level to prevent water backflow if using a humidifier. Next, connect one end of the tubing to the machine's air outlet and the other end to your mask, ensuring a secure fit to avoid air leaks. If your machine has a humidifier, fill the water chamber with distilled water up to the indicated level and insert it back into the unit, avoiding tap water to prevent mineral buildup.

Attach the mask to the headgear and adjust it for a snug but comfortable fit. Plug in the power cord, connect it to a wall outlet, and power up the machine. Adjust the settings according to your doctor's prescription, including pressure, humidity, and ramp time, as needed. Lie down in your sleeping position, turn on the machine, and adjust the mask and straps to eliminate leaks and ensure comfort while breathing normally.

It’s helpful to practice wearing the mask while awake to get used to it. Regular maintenance is essential, so clean the mask, tubing, and humidifier chamber with warm, soapy water and let them air dry to maintain hygiene.
