Welcome to the second episode of the Malaysia 2023 series!

In this episode we explore Ipoh, a super laid-back big city with small town vibes! Ipoh is usually off the tourist radar and doesn't feature in most tourist's and traveller's Malaysia itinerary. But this hidden gem absolutely needs to be explored! Time seemed to slow down here, and I have felt a kind of peace which I haven't felt in a really long time.

Ipoh is known as "George Town's relaxed younger brother", and walking around you can instantly see why - Amazing food, traditional coffeehouses, hip cafes and a vibrant street art scene - without the hustle and bustle of George Town.

Ipoh Travel Guide -
Duration - Tourists skip Ipoh in favour of Penang (George Town) or Cameron Highlands. But one can easily spend a couple of days here.

Reaching from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh - Buses are the most convenient and cost-effective option.

Getting around Ipoh - The best way to explore Ipoh is on foot. Ipoh is divided into Old Town and New Town - and Ipoh Old Town is where most tourists spend their time in. Grab cabs are also available.

Things to Do in Ipoh - Explore the place on foot, visit the cafes, explore the refurbished Market Lane and Concubine Lane, follow the street art trail, have traditional breakfast and the famous Ipoh White Coffee, try out amazing food or just feel time slow down!
