Today we are going to show you one of the common garden birds found in New Zealand. it is called Blackbird. Why do I find Blackbird so interesting? This is because they always come to my garden early morning to sing beautiful song. Although blackbirds are probably New Zealand’s most widespread bird, not many people know that only the male (top) is actually black. It also has a distinctive orange beak. The female blackbird (bottom) is brown with a variegated underside. She builds the nest and incubates the eggs, but the male joins in feeding the nestlings. They occur in urban areas, farmlands, orchards and in lowland indigenous forests, being most abundant in urban gardens, parklands, farms and orchards.

It is my earnest hope in producing this video will help bring awareness to the general public about the important of conservation to ensure the survivor of this beautiful bird so that our future generation will be able to see this bird in the natural environment.

Let us meet in another time, another week.

It is my hope that you have enjoyed you journey with me so far, Please remember to subscribe to my channel so that you will be inform of my new video production as soon as it is uploaded.
