My mother, Anita Latoya Johnson otherwise known as Typing Toya rescues this recipe in this episode of #BodinePot. I thought the recipe for #RiceBelow was the perfect opportunity to highlight my mother, native Exumian from the island of Farmer's Cay, Entrepreneur, wife, mother of seven and one of the inspirations behind my show. Growing up, my mother not only trained me in entrepreneurship, but she also taught me what she knew of womanhood, the importance of independence and the strength of family. I hope that you enjoy this talk with my mom and know It was a 40-minute conversation but I snipped it to make it fit the episode.
About rice below: My mom says what it is in the first part of our conversation, so watch if you want the answer! Otherwise, Rice Below is the simplest of rices next to plain, white rice, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have my mother in studio with me to show me how to make it the way she did on the island.
