Gabby returned to the nest tree to do some preening in the late afternoon. She drops to the nest and the visitor with the bad toes flies in and joins her! They spend several minutes just trying to look busy - the visitor moves a stick and pulls up some nesting. Views of their iteration from cam 1 and cam2.

The visitor will fly up to the branch and perch and there are closeups and zooming on his feet. The necrotic tissue on his toes is worse than it was when we saw him last season but he seems to be doing okay. We also have a good zoom on his left eye (iris) too. He flies up sunset branch and he perches for while and then flew up. Gabby came in late and she spent the night.

Gabby is familiar with this eagle visitor and she tolerates him on the nest. He is still vying for her attention but she is bonded with Beau. I hope for a successful season for Gabby and Beau as they both deserve to settle down and raise a couple of eaglets this year! And I hope that the visitor will find a nest of his own.
