This is a cab view of the JR Tsurumi Line, which runs along the eastern coastal area of Yokohama City.
The entire Tsurumi Line runs through a factory area.

It was originally built as a private railway, but in 1943 it was acquired by the government and incorporated into Japan National Railways (the predecessor of today's JR). This line ran through a factory town, so it was probably considered important to the country.

The Tsurumi Line still runs through the factory town, and even in this video, at first there are hardly any private houses. There is even a private house that doubles as a store in front of the station. This line was originally built for the purpose of transporting freight, and until about 50 years ago, it had the feel of an EMU passing through the freight cars parked in team tracks. Nowadays, freight transportation is entrusted to trucks, and freight cars are no longer kept at freight yards.

The Tsurumi Line consists of a 7km main line connecting Tsurumi Station and Ogimachi Station, and two short branch lines of just over 1km. This video includes a cab view from Ogimachi Station to Tsurumi Station. If you are interested, please look around Ogimachi Station on Google Earth. You should be able to see the scenery of the factory town.
