in terms of location. However, the day and time I took the train are different. The last time was in spring, but this time it's summer.

The Tokaido Line was built as a trunk line connecting the east and west of Japan, namely major cities such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka. The entire line was opened in 1889. Of course, Japan's leading express trains ran on this line, but when the Shinkansen opened in 1964, the parallel Tokaido Line was no longer a main line, and there are now almost no night trains, which previously ran in large numbers, and it looks like a long local line. In this video, there are no express trains passing by.

Nevertheless, many people live along the line and there are many users, so the standards are maintained at a high level. As a rail fan living in Japan, I find it very disappointing that there are a lot of weeds on the tracks and the cars are not cleaned properly, probably due to a lack of manpower. August 2024

途中で、貨物列車と並走するシーンがあります。これに出会った時に、なんだか、ほっとしました。2024年８月撮影
