So what's it like fishing through the aftershocks in a "post-eclyptic" world of rainy days and nights at the Jersey Shore? Well, let's find out! In this week's video fishing forecast, we kick it off out of Atlantic City with the first reported northern kingfish of the 2024 season, amidst a solid drum, tautog and striper bite in the Absecon Inlet area. But (3:30) jumbo stripers are on the move up the Delaware River again this season, with reports up on the Raritan and out along the coastal beaches as well. New Jersey tautog action (6:40) continues with another "feverish" catch in the 20-pound class out of Cape May this week. Trout season is underway (9:00) and Jenni's got the lowdown from the opening day festivities at Spring Lake in her Open Boat feature for the week. The Fisherman crew hit the shad grounds (11:25) along the Delaware River this week, and we look ahead at the weekend ahead (14:50) and answer a few recent questions sent to The Fisherman. Finish up this week's report with breaking news (19:30) on missing seats at the New Jersey Marine Fisheries Council, and Dr. Cool (21:10) gets a 50?
