केदारनाथ जाने के लिए करीब 9 मार्ग है।रूद्रप्रयाग जिले में स्थित प्रथम केदार जाने के लिए इस समय यात्री गौरीकुण्ड से भीमबली-लिंचोली होते हुए करीब 16 किमी का पैदल सफर कर अभी केदारनाथ जाते है।केदारघाटी के अलावा कालीमठ और मदमहेश्वर घाटी से भी केदारनाथ धाम पहुँच सकते है।ये मार्ग मुश्किल है और बिना गाइड के इन पैदल सफर से केदारनाथ नही पहुँच सकते है।

चौमासी से केदारनाथ ऐसा ही मार्ग है जिसे देवताओं का मार्ग कहते है।कई साधु संत और पांडव भी इस मार्ग से केदारनाथ जा चुके है।इस मार्ग में जंगल,बुग्याल, ग्लेशियर के नजारे दिखते है।चौमासी कालीमठ घाटी का अंतिम गाँव है।इस गॉंव से करीब 22 किमी की दूरी तय कर केदारनाथ पहुँच सकते है।

चौमासी से आगे निफतर तोक से चढ़ाई शुरू होती है।यह चढ़ाई करीब 4 किमी तक है।देवली खर्क के बाद छीपी खर्क कई छोटे छोटे तप्पड़ इस मार्ग में मिलते है।छीपी खर्क में कैम्पिंग किया जा सकता है।यहाँ से खाम बुग्याल तक चढ़ाई नही मिलती है।खर्क स्थानीय भाषा में जंगल के बीच छोटे घास के मैदान को कहते है।

खाम बुग्याल में रात्रि विश्राम के लिए कई प्राकृतिक गुफाएँ है।एक ऐसी ही गुफा में हमने रात्रि विश्राम किया।हम बिना टेंट लिए इस मार्ग से केदारनाथ की तरफ बढ़ रहे थे।

गुप्तकाशी से चौमासी गाँव की दूरी-24 km

गुप्तकाशी से चौमासी गाँव जाने के लिए छोटी गाडियां मिल जाती है।चौमासी गाँव में कई लोगों ने होम स्टे खोले हुए है।इस गॉंव से 22 किमी की दूरी पर केदारनाथ धाम है।जिसे 2 या 3 दिन में पैदल सफर पूरा किया जा सकता है।
