This unique bubble light tree, released for only one season in 1949, was powered by one 25-watt light bulb in the base. As the bulb heated the metal frame of the tree, it would cause the methylene chloride tubes to bubble as in regular bubble lights. It didn't prove to be very popular, though, and was discontinued after only one season. It is featured in the 1949 Glolite Catalog as No. 601-Holiday Green. It has a lightweight plastic base, which has some slight melt marks as someone at one time evidentally put in a larger bulb than a 25-watt.
