One Mile is a great location at which to watch train movements on the Burrawon branch. You see trains on their way to and from Burrawon, as well as quarry trains that join the branch there. So, let’s spend a day watching rail traffic there. It’s 1983, less than a year after the restructured and re-labelled State Rail Authority introduced the so-called ‘candy’ livery, so the locomotives look in excellent condition. Even 4875, still in the old NSWR livery, has been well maintained by its home shed.
