This year, Abraham Lincoln Elementary School was named as a Model PLC School by Solution Tree!

Earning Model PLC School status is no easy feat.

A PLC, or Professional Learning Community, is an ongoing process where educators work collaboratively in cycles of collective inquiry and action research to achieve better results for the students they serve.

What does it mean to be a Model PLC School? Lincoln submitted an application that had to meet the following criteria:

Demonstrate a commitment to PLC concepts
Implement those concepts for at least three years.
Present clear evidence of improved student learning.
Explain the culture, practices, and structures of the school or district, and submit it for consideration to the PLC Review Committee
Update school information on the site each year to show the data continues to meet the criteria of the PLC at Work process.

The No. 1 goal of Superintendent Rodolfo Hernandez's strategic plan is to establish strong Professional Learning Communities in all District 99 schools.

Congratulations to Principal Gretchen Gorgal and the entire Lincoln community!
