While we tried to go around those Big Red Bash crowds coming from Birdsville, we travelled from Windorah via Bedourie through Boulia, ending up in Mt Isa. The road from Windorah to Bedourie was pretty much dusty gravel road, from the turnoff to Birdsville. In Bedourie we run straight into those crowds coming from the festival in Birdsville. Which meant the lines at the service station were kms long. Same in Boulia, where we again filled up - and lucky we did, because there is NO PETROL at Dajarra. So keep that in mind, they stopped selling petrol there. Diesel is still available. After filling our fridge with groceries in Mt Isa, we finally arrived at the @Kalkadoonhotel at Three Rivers, QLD. Not without fixing some chips in the windscreen with a screen repair kit. You have to be prepared for everything, right?
