Recovery is going well 12 days post Total knee replacement. In this update, how it really feels, staple removal and tips to help you pick your leg up.
We are all going to be different, to improve your recovery make sure you stay on top of movement, fluids, exercise and rest. Pain and the numbness felt will vary from person to person, the numbness I am feeling is crazy and when the nurse poked the centre of my knee I could feel the metal! Ugh. Its all better than what it was though!
I had staples, and almost 30 of them, some of you may have stitches, to improve the healing the nurse decided to only take every other staple out today. She added steristrips and a fresh water proof cover. I'll get the rest removed on Monday. I will also start to look at scar tape and various bio oils!
