📜 Historical Significance: No war history and fort was mainly used as watch tower. The fort stands at about 2,500 feet and is a 2-hour trek from Newali village, which is 70 km from Mumbai and 90 km from Pune. The trail to the fort varies, passing through dense thickets, plateaus, and tall grass. The fort features two water tanks—one with water and one dry—and remnants of old fortifications, suggesting it was once used for surveillance.
