First appearing in the G1 Episode “Five Faces of Darkness Part 5” in 1986, Predaking is the Decepticon Combiner formed by the Predacons. A warrior who incorporates the animalistic strength and instincts of his components, Predaking would battle the Autobots across the cosmos, going head to head with the likes of Sky Lynx in the G1 Series and Raiden in Headmasters until his return in Zone where he’d join the Decepticon Emperor Violengiguar as his Beast General.

While Predaking would feature in minor roles in various other continuities such as working alongside Shockwave in the Marvel Comics series or battling the Dinobot Combiner Volcanicus in the Prime Wars Trilogy, his story would be reimagined in Transformers Prime. the product of Shockwave’s experimentation with cloning the ancient Predacons, Predacon would serve under Megatron, using his immense durability, intelligence, and tracking abilities to battle the Autobots and any Decepticon in his way and becoming strong enough to destroy the Forge of Solus Prime. Giving himself the title Predaking while biding his time with the belief that Megatron would resurrect his long lost race, he’d be betrayed, and work with Optimus Prime to stop a Unicron possessed Megatron from corrupting the Well of All Sparks.
