Romsai is an almost blind bull elephant living at Elephants World in Thailand. I’ve known Romsai for 8 years and feel very close to him.

Romsai is an elephant that seems to like slow piano music. In the past, he had the reputation for being dangerous, and despite his recent injury, extreme caution is still needed around him.

I occasionally camped out with Romsai and observed around 4.00 am he would suddenly crash down without warning from standing onto his side to sleep. A few months ago Romsai did this but badly injured his back leg. He has had X-rays and receives veterinary care but can barely walk or support his own bodyweight.
