Open Hearth Park, located on the area of stabilization and solidification of the Sydney Tar Ponds, is an expansive area that includes walking trails with informational plaques, sports fields, a playground, a canteen, bike park, skating oval, and likely more that I'm forgetting.

It is a legacy development that was part of the remediation of the Sydney Steel Plant site (now Harbourside Commercial Park), Coke Ovens Brook, and the Tar Ponds of Muggah Creek (now Open Hearth Park).
