The Portuguese's last fishing trip will be at Lake Anzol located in the heart of the Amazon jungle. In addition to fishing for piranhas, we rescued a friendly sloth that was in a leafless tree in the middle of the flooded forest. This lake is full of fish such as tambaquis, piranhas, alligators, pirarucus and others, however with the flooded forest they are very spread out making fishing difficult but it is a unique experience to experience the traditions and customs of these communities.
The Mangueira community's main livelihood activity is fishing, the long-awaited season of pirarucu management, harpoon fishing, wild animals of this wonderful forest, with all its beauty, rivers, streams and igapó.
After this unique experience, Fernando still had the privilege of accompanying the rescue of a sloth, in the flooded area of the jungle. At night it was time to say goodbye, leaving for Tefé together with our warrior Barrinha for a medical appointment with Dr Braz Marcene scheduled for the following day.
