It's been a long time coming... hydraulic assist (sometimes called hydro-assist) on the straight-axle Suburban! A lot of people, myself included, have wanted to do installs like this themselves but were too intimidated to tackle it at home.
Well we decided to give it a shot and it was a pretty straight forward install. It took us a few hours over the weekend to complete, with added time between coats of paint. If you're interested in adding hydraulic assist to your rig, we encourage you to go for it.
This kit was very reasonably priced at $599 from Redneck Ram. I haven't put it to the test on the trail yet, but it sure handles the curbs in the mall parking lot well!
