Jack Musgrave passed away March 24, 2015, surrounded by those he loved. At the family’s request, his story and video interview remain here to encourage others. Gifts in Jack's memory can be made to the Markey Cancer Foundation or to Hospice of the Bluegrass.

In this interview, Jack and Gayle Musgrave of Lexington, Kentucky, tell about their journey with Jack’s cancer, beginning when he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and told he had 3-9 months to live. They sought second opinions from two excellent centers and think they made the right decision in choosing the UK Markey Cancer Center, Kentucky’s only NCI-designated cancer center. Markey experts would not be limited by Jack’s initial prognosis. They have employed the best that medicine has to offer. Jack lived more than a year beyond the original prognosis – gaining valuable time with family and friends.
