When Not To Fish! Stream Decimated By Violent Storm (Trout Hiding?)

So I went out fishing today as I marked the summer solstice with a trip to 1 of our favourite streams.
Alfred had come past the stream on his way home the night before and commented on the volume of water present in a usually quiet environment.
So I figured by the day after, the volume would be much less and the water similar to the water seen in episode 1 from this year.
The past few days have been incredibly humid and this humidity has spawned some pretty violent downpours late afternoon and into the evening.
But I thought, and that would be my inherent problem, that the waters would have dissipated sufficiently to make for a great summer solstice outing.
Boy, was I wrong. So here is a quick video of what too much water into a confined space can accomplish.
Mother Nature certainly had her agenda which was to move as much debris as possible out of the way, probably to the next township, thus creating a new stream.
And fishing with the humidity at 40oC was not the smartest move I’ve made but I am here to write about it, and that’s a positive, at least to me!
Thanks Alfred for making a video without FISH as that’s something we said we wouldn’t do.
