Butchering chickens from start to finish is a big undertaking. You have to have all of your non-duck ducks in a row to pull it off. Tools, ice-chests, cutting boards, sanitizer and ice. Having a Yardbird feather plucker helps quite a bit as well!

Mid November, Jan's brother Dave and his wife Faithann traveled from their home in Oklahoma to help out. The more helpers, the better to make this process run smoothly.

This video shows the process, from start to finish. We butchered 25 meat birds in 3 hours. Farm to table, by way of freezer is the best.
