This short film was made as a 'fairy tale noir.' A romantic drama about lovers reconnecting with a fantastical twist. Alice has agreed to a blind date with a man named Frank, but Frank has a problem. He can only be remembered by others while in their presence. When Frank loses contact with someone for more than a minute, they forget he ever existed at all. Trips to the bathroom, interruptions by waiters or rude diners looking for trouble are all obstacles to Alice and Frank's first date. Or is it their first date after all?

Written and directed by Andrew de Villiers, and produced by Andrew de Villiers, Jorah Porteous and Shawn Seifert for Point Blank Entertainment, this stylish short premiered at the San Diego International Film Festival in 2012 and won the Silver Ace Award for special achievement at the Las Vegas International Film Festival the same year. Admittedly experimental and ambitious, the filmmakers learned a lot making Forgettable, and Andrew de Villiers has long planned to adapt the concept into a feature film. Albeit, one with a slightly different story that tells the whole story of Mister Forgettable.

Andrew de Villiers is the writer, producer and director of several television pilots, short documentaries and films and the television movie Secret Liaison. He won a Canadian Comedy Award in 2012 for co-creating and directing Riverdale: The Archie Movie Trailer, one of many comedy sketches created as part of the 'Cross Eyed Bear' comedy pilot (unaired).
