Have you ever wondered what happens in the clock tower when the bells ring out every four hours? The music is a piece called 'St Anne's', but it is more commonly known as the opening refrain of the hymn 'O God, Our Help in Ages Past'. It doesn't sound every hour, instead ringing out every four hours during the day at 8am, midday, 4pm and 8pm. The words to the hymn were written by Isaac Watts, who was born in Southampton and who has a park named after him a stone's throw from us hear at SeaCity. This video shows the bells doing what they do best!
