Beginning of march 2021 we already have had a few good flying days to go cross country... So with my current level, here's a feedback/tutorial on my first cross country flight of the season: the classic route from Verel in les Bauges, but with addition of the Annecy Lake Crossing.

While cross country paragliding... there's a single moto: NEVER GIVE UP!

I started from Verel and head north without a single turn to reach Le Semnoz.
I head out to le Roc des Boeufs and cross the annecy lake toward le Col de La Forclaz. Gliding to le Rocher du Roux then le Lanfonnet.
It's time to head back... and I ridge soar back on the Roc des Boeufs, where I decide to reach cloud base to avoid any mishap on the Mont d'Etrier.
I reach the Margeriaz ridge after the bounce on Mont d'Etrier... but what I don't know is that I'm going to climb that ridge three times that day!
I failed twice to reach the west faces of the Bauges through the "Croix des Bergers" glide.
So I'm back in Lecheraines... and climb the ridge for the third time!
I'm all in... going south/south west to reach the Sire/Croix du Nivolet... a line that I've never explored before, but I saw a small residual cumulus in the valley...
I end up reaching Montagny... as originally planned!
What a VICTORY!

Just for the sake of saying it... my flight was refused in the French distance competition (CFD) as I landed after 18:00 whereas we have a current curfew in place in France... but I don't really care... the beauty of the fight/flight was well worth it!
