I chose a rather complicated dress project to turn into a video, but here we are! Come along as I mash together pattern pieces from three different dresses from two different sewing books! I’ll even take you with me to the Prairie Strides antique and flea market at the end and show you what I brought home. I'll share my take on Gertie’s Ultimate Dress Book and Gertie Sews Jiffy Dresses. Spoiler alert: I LOVE these books.

This video is dedicated to Alex Espinosa, whose estate provided me with the fabrics for this dress and many more to come. A huge thanks to the family for giving me some of Alex’s fabrics so his legacy and love of sewing can live on.

I wear my vintage-style clothing out in the world every day and I invite you to join me along my sewing journey!

Thanks for watching!
