We're sure that pretty much anyone who's ridden a mountain bike with 160mm of travel or more has spent time on the Maxxis Minion combo. Most people have probably only ridden the Minion DHR II on the back though, and in this test we put the DHR II on the front of our Canyon Sender downhill bike to see how it compares to the DHF.

There are some major differences and some major similarities but overall felt the DHR II is a solid tire option and will serve SOME riders better as a front tire. Find out what type of terrain, conditions and rider types may actually like the DHR II as a front tire more than the DHF.
