First time using a thickness planer... Ryobi because it was cheap!
I finally got a thickness planer and have had many projects where this would have come in handy. I will probably use it all the time especially when working with wood that I cut with the sawmill. I picked the Ryobi because it was on sale for $40 off and I thought I would get the military discount from HD. I will probably stop shopping at Home Depot after this experience because this is the 3rd time we have been denied because of some "rule" they have for the discount. I hate to admit it but Lowes has never given us any issue with using the military discount and so goodbye Home Depot.
