I hadn’t ridden a track in over 10 years nor owned a bike in that time. My prime was early 2000s in the Intermediate class. Now I’m 40 and have gone through many shoulder surgeries and knee surgeries that slow me down a bit (mentally and then physically lol).

Felt great being on the track but the instant arm pump definitely reminded me not to push it too much but still get a feel for the bikes and track again.

The new Yamahas are great of course.

YZ125 would do a heap of wonders with an exhaust, reeds, air filter swap at least. It had no low end power even for a 125 from what I remember. Granted my last bikes were 250s and 450s, so I take that with a grain of salt.

It still was a blast.
