The XHDATA D-109 and the D-808 compared on medium wave. The D-808 is well-known as a portable that does quite well on medium wave, but the capabilities of the D-109 on MW are still relatively untested. This video compares the D-109 to the D-808 on medium wave.

This is an extensive, side-by-side comparison of the two radios on 12 different MW signals, ranging from strong local signals to weaker and very distant, signals. I picked up the Russian Vesti FM (which broadcasts on MW as well, 1413 kHz), from Grigoriopol in Moldova during this test. That is 8650 km or 5400 miles away. This test will really give you a complete idea of how these two radios compare on all kinds of signals. Some very distant signals came in clearly on both sets! Recorded at my usual location in Johannesburg, South Africa.
