We are going to learn how a steel piston, piston rings, gudgeon pin, circlips and connecting rod assembly fit with Alco locomotive engine block. This video will guide us how to do assembly of pistons with engine block and what precautions have to take for smooth work. This video also guide how to check gap between compressor and oil rings with respect to piston groves. Generally we maintain 0.06 mm gap between compressor rings and piston grooves and 0.03 mm gap between oil rings and piston grooves.
