On the way to Bolshand Farm, Friockheim, Angus in 1964 , my parents stopped to film a local farmer's harvest. Three shire horses are each pulling a binder. This must have been one of the last farms to use horse drawn implements, as by 1964 most farms were well mechanised. Looks like oats. Weather looked good that day, but it would have been as hard work for the men as the horses.
