The 18-year-old man accused of shooting and killing a woman in Southeast Portland earlier this week appeared in court on Friday.

Kamari Gates entered a not guilty plea for the murder of 38-year-old LaToya Hill.

Gates was booked into Multnomah County jail just before 6 p.m. on Thursday after turning himself in.
