Produced and written by Walter Ritte in 1980, this video describes the efforts by Hawaiians to return to the traditions of their ancestors by going back to live on the land in Pelekunu Valley on the north shore of Moloka‘i. Narrated by Jacqueline "Skylark" Rossetti, with music by Olomana, this 12-minute piece includes location footage and photos of several families as they raise food, build shelters, and educate their children in this remote valley.
