Hello my dear friends.
I am happy to share a new work from my workshop with you. This time our story is about blacksmithing.
I shaped the steel and finally brought it to razor sharpness as usual. I made the angle of the blade with file with a delicate handwork. Kiridashi is an all-purpose Japanese knife. At one time, kiridashi was also made in the form of fish. In this work, I was inspired by this period and made a whale tail form. This form fit very well in the hand.
I didn't do a high finishing that would spoil the hand made look. I even did some work to strengthen this old and craft look.
At the end of my work, I tested it with wood. There is one more bonus test at the end of the video.
I am very happy to work and present something to you, I hope you will share this pleasure with me while watching.
