Breaking News: US researchers find probable launch site of Russia's new nuclear-powered missile.

Two American researchers have claimed to have located the likely Russian installation location for the 9M370 Burevestnik, a new nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed cruise missile that Russian President Vladimir Putin has called "invincible."

Putin claims the weapon, which NATO has codenamed SSC-X-9 Skyfall, can avoid American missile defenses and has a nearly infinite range. Some Western analysts, however, cast doubt on his assertions and the strategic importance of the Burevestnik, arguing that it poses the danger of a radiation-spewing accident and does not provide Moscow with any new capabilities.

The two researchers found a building location adjacent to a nuclear warhead storage facility called Vologda-20 or Chebsara, using photographs collected on July 26 by the commercial satellite business Planet Labs, as a possible deployment point for the new missile. North of Moscow, the facility is located 295 miles or 475 kilometers.
