Haley + Nick: Charleston Locals, Hypercreatives, Legends

You can’t watch this video without knowing how freakin’ cool these two cats are. Haley and Nick are both Charleston natives (a rara avis!)— Haley is in incrreeedddiibbllle jewelry designer and has the COOLEST freakin’ shop in Mount Pleasant called Hermosa Jewelry (You can shop online, too! Holla!)

Day Of: Alhambra Hall Wedding Venue, An Mount Pleasant Old Village Gem.

Ahh, Alhambra Hall, an absolute wedding venue staple and an iconic spot of Mount Pleasant’s quaint Old Village. It’s simple, no-frills, and fully customizable — this venue is a blank canvas for whatever you want to have happen here. It’s got a beautiful oak tree in the corner of the property, we’ve seen couples dress the interior up completely, or go totally minimal on the interior. It’s a fantastic spot for your friends and family to enjoy the waterfront view during cocktail hour. It has a big open lawn, and it also doubles as a community park (this is the onlllyyy love/hate part about it — it’s vibrant in the local community, aaannddd there may or may not be someone playing fetch with their dog to the side of the lawn when your guests are arriving--Just telling it like it is.)

If you’re from out of town (like I am), here’s some deets about the Old Village in Mount Pleasant: It's the cutest. A fun little tucked away area these days with all the latest restaurants and hot spots for eating, the Pitt Street Pharmacy is adorable with its soda fountain and lunch counter where you can order a hot dog while waiting for your prescriptions to be filled (Walgreens, you’re slackin’), and the Pitt Street Bridge is an iconic spot for catching sunsets; Alhambra Hall is nestled right in the middle of it all.

The Wedding Video Edit: Electric ODEZSA Vibes — YAAAASSSS Please!!

I’m going to let you in on a little secret — Odesza — the badass electric dance music artist — for some reason — their songs are FREAKING BRILLIANT AND PERFECT FOR WEDDING VIDEO EDITS. Odesza also has a special place in my heart personally — when my boyfriend Chris and I were first dating I took him to my homeland and we went to the 2018 Austin City Limits Music Festival— when we walked onto the grounds we walked up mid-set to Odesza’s performance and it was just…ethereal. Talk about performers and artists, they had a full marching band on stage, I will never forget that moment of adrenaline, bass, and high-vibes with our fresh love affair blossoming.

So when Haley and Nick said, “We LOVE Odesza” in our initial consultation — it. was. on.

Music is SUCH a big part of our creative process and us “channeling the vibe” for a wedding video edit; we loved matching those beautiful moments when Haley put her dress on and took a moment to connect with her emotions in her bridal suite. Wearing that string of pearls that was from her grandmother’s set of pearls, and looking absolutely breathtaking — her energy in that moment was something we’ll never forget.

Anndd, We Got To Work With Some Of Our Besties — The Luscious And Legendary Sean Money And Elizabeth Fay.

Sean and Elizabeth are some of our favorite humans on the planet-- they are extremely creative, funky and vibey in their photography style, AND they are absolute TEN STAR PROFREAKINFESSIONALS day of.

The teamwork these two exhibit together for group family photos is impeccable — I think we went through a 40 person family + bridal party workflow in maybe 10-12 minutes. Not even kidding.

Getting to work together with our friends in those epic sunset under-the-veil shots was such a gift, and our ceremony filming workflow was on fleek.

Haley and Nick, you guys are the dang bomb.com — we had the best time getting to tell their wedding day story — their first look was SO. stinkin’ precious, and we love y’alls creative vibey energy.
