고향의 봄 - 홍난파 작곡, 이원수 작사의 가곡으로 일제시대에 쓰여진 작품입니다. 고향의 그리움과 독립 운동가들의 고국에 대한 갈망을 담아낸 노래입니다.

“Spring in My Hometown” is a popular Korean folksong composed by Hong Nan-pa with lyrics by Wŏn-su Yi. This song was written when Korea was under Japanese rule. The song describes the nostalgia for one’s hometown and the great longing of Korean independence fighters for their homeland.

교향곡 9번, “신세계로부터“ - 체코 출신의 작곡가 드보르작의 마지막 교향곡 입니다. 1893년 여름, 드보르작이 미국 아이오와 주를 여행할 때, 미국의 광활하게 펼쳐진 자연과 고국에 대한 그리움을 담아낸 작품입니다. 드보르작의 제자인 윌리엄 피셔는 이 작품의 멜로디를 자신의 곡, "Goin' Home" 에 가사를 붙여 편곡 했습니다.

Antonín Dvořák wrote the Symphony No. 9 in E minor, "From the New World", in the summer of 1893 when he was on a trip to Iowa. It has been said that Dvořák was inspired by the American "wide open spaces" and described his nostalgia for his hometown. The theme from the New World Symphony was adapted into the spiritual-like song "Goin' Home" by one of Dvorak's students, William Arms Fisher.
