Comeback Kid, a hardcore punk band, released their second studio album, Wake the Dead. In Canada, Smallman Records handled the release, while Victory Records handled international distribution.

The recording was made by Bill Stevenson over 13 days in the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado. The album's title track, "Wake the Dead," first appeared in the soundtracks for the video games Burnout Revenge and Burnout Legends.

The album peaked at position #16 on the Top Heatseekers chart and position #27 on the list of the Top Independent Albums. It was the band's final album with Scott Wade as a member; Andrew Neufeld afterward took Scott Wade's place as the vocalist.
