Again, for the love of all things holo, this is not meant as a jab at Cristine, but more as a compliment to her nail art.
With that out of the way, welcome to the most difficult gradient I've ever done and will not be doing again. LOL! Last week y'all left me a ton of really good ideas as far as which tutorial, or person, I should follow next, but this one just caught my eye. I've watched her tutorial roughly 5738925 times and each time I watched it I had the same end feeling of "what the actual fuck is going on here?!" lol! So I just had to tackle it and try to break it down a bit better for ya'll in this I tried to follow a Simply Nailogical tutorial... again. HA! I'm 100% certain that I, in fact, did NOT make this any easier for y'all to follow if you choose to recreate it as i have, but i tried y'all!
In this "I followed a Simply Nailogical Tutorial" i rode the struggle bus super hard. Between choosing the wrong colors and having to start over WHEN I WAS SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE (cry with me) to the vinyl placement, to my lightest shades not wanting to cover the darker ones.... I was a hot mess and it took me FOUR HOURS to officially be done following simply nailogical.... again. but it was also a lot of fun to do!
As always with a gradient, i do recommend top coating your base color, ALWAYS, to make your gradient life much easier.
For my color choices in this scaled reciprocal gradient from hell I used a mix of the All Mixed Up Lacquers Betwixt and Between Collection (available now) and Brave Diva Nail nail polish. I won't be listing each individual color but the brands store links are below! happy shopping!
