Camera – Nikon D800. Lens – Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR.

Nikon's D800 DSLR may be turning 11 this year but it is still an excellent camera. As part of my revamp of my YouTube channel as well as my practice in general I bought a Nikon D800 + a 24-120mm f4 zoom lens. My intention is to show that you don't need the newest camera tech. to achieve great results. This whole setup cost me under £850, if I had gone for a D610 or even a Canon 5D Mark II then the cost would have been a bit lower but not my that much.

What this first shoot has demonstrated to me is that DSLR's are not "dead", they are still an excellent tool that when used right produce images of just as good quality as any more modern camera can.
