located in the Nadia district of West Bengal
India is a significant spiritual destination
renowned as the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu the 16th-century saint and the proponent of the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition
The town is situated at the confluence of the Ganges and Jalangi rivers about 130 kilometers from Kolkata, and is a major pilgrimage site for followers of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) as well as devotees of Lord Krishna and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
ISKCON Mayapur: The ISKCON temple, also known as the Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir, is the primary attraction of Mayapur. This temple complex is the headquarters of ISKCON and attracts millions of devotees and tourists annually. The ISKCON temple hosts beautiful deities of Radha Madhava, Lord Chaitanya, and Lord Nityananda.

Temple of the Vedic Plane
tarium (TOVP): Currently under construction, this is one of the most ambitious projects by ISKCON. The TOVP aims to be the largest Vedic temple in the world and features a unique planetarium, depicting the cosmology of the Vedic scriptures.

Yoga Peeth: This is the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and holds immense spiritual importance for followers of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. A temple was constructed at the site, known as the Chaitanya Math, where devotees can worship and experience the serene spiritual atmosphere.

Chandrodaya Mandir: This is another important temple dedicated to the worship of Radha Krishna and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It is known for its stunning architecture and the beautiful statues inside.

Festivals: Mayapur is especially vibrant during festivals such as Gaura Purnima (the appearance day of Lord Chaitanya), Janmashtami (the birth of Lord Krishna), and other Vaishnava celebrations. Thousands of devotees from around the world gather to participate in the kirtans (devotional songs), processions, and spiritual discourses.

Navadvipa Dham Parikrama: This is an annual pilgrimage walk where devotees visit the nine islands of Navadvipa, which are considered to represent the nine processes of devotional service. The pilgrimage takes place during the Gaura Purnima festival and is a deeply spiritual experience for participants.
