A last minute planned trip, to see the Class 58, working it's first passenger train in preservation. Given I drive a 58 at my local model engineers, I thought it was about time I heard what the full size thing actually sounded like.

Another solo trip for me and I'd say it was a successful trip, was nice to be able to sit in a GWR HST again even if it were a heritage railway, last time would've been pre 2019. The 40 and the 37 I rode behind throughout the day gave excellent performances too. I got to see all that I wanted to see, which was more or less, just the 58πŸ˜…, the 20s and the 25s were extras as was the rest of the fleet. In my opinion, the 58, sounded a bit like the MTU HST, or perhaps a 60, just quieter...
