As part of the Cardiff Area Re-Signalling project, the old semaphore signals at Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan have been decommissioned and removed, making the old signal box redundant. A brand new platform has been built at Barry Town Station, and the whole work will be opened soon. In the short time I was there, several passenger trains and one freight came through.
