さて今日の動画は、都会のローカル線vol.24として西武狭山線の西所沢行き電車の前面展望映像をお送りします。
西武狭山線は、プロ野球•埼玉西武ライオンズの本拠地、ベールーナドームの最寄駅である西武球場前駅と、西武鉄道の主要幹線である池袋線の西所沢駅とを結ぶ路線です。
ライオンズの公式戦開催時には３万人もの大観衆がベールーナドームに詰めかけ、遠く横浜方面からも臨時の直通快速急行が運転されますが、イベントのない日は一転、3面6線の広大な西武球場前駅も閑散と静まり返っています。
沿線は狭山丘陵や狭山湖が間近に控える自然豊かな場所を通り、文字通りローカル線の雰囲気があふれています。
そんな西武狭山線の前面展望をどうぞお楽しみに下さい。

Today's video is Urban Local Lines Vol. 24, and it shows a front view of a Seibu Sayama Line train bound for Nishi-Tokorozawa.
The Seibu Sayama Line connects Seibukyujo-mae Station, the nearest station to the Belluna Dome, home stadium of the Saitama Seibu Lions professional baseball team, with Nishi-Tokorozawa Station on the Ikebukuro Line, a major Seibu Railway line.
When the Lions play official games, a huge crowd of as many as 30,000 people flock to the Belluna Dome, and special #鉄道前面展望 #都会のローカル線 direct rapid express trains run from as far away as Yokohama. However, on days when there are no events, the vast Seibu Kyoujo-mae Station, with its three platforms and six tracks, is deserted and quiet.
The line passes through areas rich in nature with the Sayama Hills and Lake Sayama close by, and is literally filled with the atmosphere of a local train line.
